Aedgar’s words are written this way.
Nerida and Kalini’s words are written this way.
N: You remember our dear friend, Kalini. You’ve met before.
K: Hello.
Yes, we had some talks. Glad we meet again, so we can talk a bit more.
We can sense some questions. Probably quite related to the last ones we talked about.
K: Yeah, umm.
We thought so.
K: I just wonder, first of all, if I’m meant to have another baby or if I should put my energies into living my life.
You know there is that One, floating around you?
K: Yeah.
It’s still there. It’s still the same. There is more than one. But, if you are distracted, concentrating on your (what did you call it?) real life, normal life—
K: Yep.
—that would make it easier for it to just slip in.
K: So, if take my focus off having another baby—
Yes.
K: —and focus on the—okay.
You should not focus too much on anything. You just, y’know, live the life and handle things as you are approached by them. It’s not about focus.
If you focus on something [using the hands like narrow blinkers] that means you ignore all the other things around it, more or less. Focus means one point. ‘I’m thinking about one point.’
You understand?
K: Yeah. I do.
If you take that focus off, that concentration on one single thing, you will have the opportunity and give opportunity to everything else in life that wants to approach you. Everything that you might need to be approached by, so you can learn a lot more.
Don’t lose your way by focussing on one thing.
K: I feel like I did that a while back and I’ve come off that now, but—
You’re on your way, yes, but it comes and goes.
N: Hmm, I do need to get the book done. I don’t think I need to take my focus off that.
Get it done without focussing.
As soon as you focus, you can’t see what’s happening around you.
N: Okay.
You’ll have all these opportunities going past you because you’re focussed.
N: Yeah.
We think it’s very funny if people say you need to focus.
K: [Laughing] Gawd, I’m always telling my children to focus—
Your eye needs to focus, to get a clear picture of what’s going on. Your brain should not focus.
N: Hmm, keep it broad.
Yes. The eye focusses to make you see everything that’s going on. If you think the brain has to focus, as well, you’ll miss all these opportunities to learn and grow.
Or, you might even miss that your path is going a little bit around the corner, where it has to go because you focussed on that. Do you understand?
Taking that ‘focus’ off gives you all the freedom you need to be able to see things.
It’s about using opportunities.
People go to learn about things. They go to big schools. There they focus on that one, single thing, that they wanna have.
If they didn’t focus so much on that one thing, they’d see all these other opportunities. Opportunities that they might be so much better suited to. And they could be so much more successful then because they’re doing what they’re meant to do. Not that one thing.
That one thing might have been influenced by the environment, by the people they’re surrounded by. ‘Yeah, that’s what you’re going to do. Just keep focussed.’
But, if you listen to that, you’ll miss out on all the opportunities. You understand?
N: You know we have this movement in the world, this idea of the Law of Attraction: that if you wanna get a nice car, or your perfect partner or a wonderful house, then you have to think good thoughts about it all the time, and that’s how you bring it into your life.
[Sigh] We tried several times.
You have to keep your mind open.
You need to know what you want, what you feel is right. Not what anyone around you tells you. Or what you might read about in a book.
So, you keep your mind open to these opportunities and then it will be picked up, ‘Oh yeah, there are all these opportunities.’
This person could do much better things in life, could learn things—fast, or slow. Some people have fast learning experiences because they ask for that fast car, you know. Or they ask for a place to live that’s in their own narrow area. That can be a fast learning experience.
The broader the things you think about, that you would want to do or if you feel like, for example, you should go in that direction, the better the Universe understands. And then they can pick what’s right for you. If you feel it—you need to feel it...
You focus on that thing? Some people focus on that one thing a lot and then it happens: they get that thing. That single thing. Because there is no other variety.
And if they need to get that one fast car, it might just be for a quick learning experience. Not to make them a better person or have a better life.
Or to show off to all their friends, ‘Oh, look what I’ve got.’
You might call it short-lived.
A lot of people ask: ‘I need to win the lottery. I need to win the lottery.’
How many of them, do you think, would be really happy after they win?
They’ll have all these experiences. Some of them might be nice. The majority of them is not.
So, the Universe, if you’re open, might pick a smaller place to live or a bigger place to live, depending on the area where it’s suitable for you—and for the area.
And they might pick a car that’s suitable for your life. If you are sitting, for example, as a shepherd on a farm, and then you get a racing car, what’s the point of that?
N: When you need a tractor.
You understand?
N: Yes, I do.
So, keep your mind open. You ask for things. You can ask for things, yes, and the Universe might provide. Give them a chance to provide what you need.
Not what you want to impress others.
You might ask for a hundred million in the lottery. If you focus, you might get it. But you will have a lot of bad experience out of that.
You’ll have all the greedy people on this planet following you, asking for their fair share.
If you say, ‘Oh, I wish I would win the lottery,’ but you don’t put a price tag on it, you might get something. That might a lot less, but it might be what helps you at that given time.
We don’t like ’time’, but that’s how you understand.
N: Yes. That’s very helpful, thank you.
You’re very welcome. We like to help.
Anything else we can help you with?
K: Is there anything else I need to know? Have you got any messages for me? Anything obvious?
Obvious? Hmm.
Be more open-minded. Give that little one a chance to come by focussing less. It will give you a lot more freedom and it will bring you a lot more opportunities if you don’t do—what you call—this focus.
Try to take everything in that’s offered to you, without focussing on one thing.
You could have a much richer life.
We don’t think you have an unhappy life, or that you’re deprived. It does not feel like it to us. But it could get a lot richer through not focussing.
You would finally see and feel all the good things coming from all sides. And you could dodge the bad things, as well. You can see them coming because you’re not focussing.
It’s like looking on that—through this [he raises the hands as if looking through a spyglass].
N: A telescope?
Oh, telescope is for further away.
Like the one they used for ships. We’ve looked through them, once or twice.
And you can see exactly that little point. On a ship it’s useful because that’s the harbour you want to go to.
But if you look through that you can’t see anything else that happens around you.
It’s good to find that anchor. But you need to look around you, as well. There might be a ship bumping into you.
If you just look through that, saying, ‘That’s the safe harbour, this is where I wanna be,’ without putting the instrument down at times and looking to the side, you could be in trouble.
Or, there might be that beautiful thing on the other ship. They’re offering it to you, for free. But you don’t see it.
You understand?
K: Mmm, I do.
You can’t see it. You are focussing.
Your eyes should focus, not your brain.
Get all the feelings, get everything you can get—
K: Feel them.
— because that little one is still around. And it’s not alone.
If you focus on one, you will stop the one it comes with. None of them will come because you focus on one. This is just to try to tell you to be open-minded.
If you focus on one more child and it’s a set of twins, none of them will come.
You deprive them of the chance and you deprive yourself of the chance.
N: Doesn’t mean she’s going to necessarily have twins.
There is a possibility. But if you think about one only, you’re not open-minded enough. Your feelings, your heart, everything in your body, is not open for more than one.
It’s more or less a means to explain to you the need to be open-minded in that direction. It does not necessarily mean there are twins waiting. But it could be.
You understand?
K: Yeah, I do.
You would be up for it. It would be easy.
K: Thanks.
You’re welcome. Anything else? We could be of service.
K: No, that’s about it.
Oh.
N: Oh, I’ve always got more questions.
Yes. This is always something we’re sure of. We’re happy to talk, anytime.
N: One more question, then.
On the ocean near here there are magnificent birds—albatrosses. We saw some from a boat the other day. Can you tell me a little bit about the consciousness of an albatross?
They have a wonderful open mind.
K: [Laughing] Be like the albatross.
They are an example to you. You can float close to the ocean or high up in the air. Ocean, or the place they live close to the ocean provides everything they need. They have short breaks somewhere close to the ocean. Other than that, they don’t need a place to stop.
You know they come back to place they were born, to raise their young ones.
And then they go away again, sometimes for years.
They explore. They’re open-minded. They do have difficulties because there are a lot less fish in the ocean.
They still have enough of a big area where they can find some but it’s getting more and more difficult.
They only focus if they see a fish they want. They get it immediately and then they let go of the focus. They were trying to teach you something—both of you.
That’s why you chose that special trip to see those.
N: It’s a great story, thank you.
It’s not a story, it’s a fact, my dear.
N: I knew you’d say that.
Thank you, dear Aedgar, for coming. I hope we get to talk again soon.
Oh, we’re always here.
K: Ooh, can I ask you one more thing?
Yes.
M: Did you speak through anyone else at any stage?
No. We never speak through anyone else, my dear. We make a conscious choice.
K: Thank you for looking after her. And us.
You’re welcome. Anything else?
N: We’d better let you go.
So, talk to you another time.
[A minute or so of silence as Mari comes out of trance with a little start]
N: Hey, beautiful girl.
Mari: Hey. Oh, it’s still daylight, that helps.
